PRODUCTION OF CUSTOMIZED SHEET METAL CONTAINERS
The containers or “cups” are objects, generally made of hand-worked sheet metal, which are fixed above the circular vibrating base and which, thanks to the spiral inside, allow the pieces to rise and then be selected to come out all in the same position. They can be clockwise or anticlockwise based on the machine configuration, the width of the spiral or “helix” varies based on the size of the piece fed as well as the pitch. Shapes and Materials
The containers are divided into 3 categories : conical, cylindrical and stepped. The choice of the type of container is made following a comparison between the company and the customer based on the type of piece fed and the space available for the creation of the vibrating base in Lombardy. OCV FEEDERS creates containers in iron, AISI 304 stainless steel or cast aluminum , the latter are mainly used for feeding small screws or rivets. All containers can be coated inside to comply with noise limits or to avoid damaging the pieces that vibrate inside. Furthermore, a spray coating is applied to the cast aluminum containers to prevent the container from wearing out. It is also possible to apply a special coating to avoid friction due to static electricity of the plastic pieces.
