SHEET METAL CONTAINERS MADE IN THE PROVINCE OF LECCO

The containers or "cups" are objects, generally made of hand-worked sheet metal, fixed above the circular vibrating base and which, thanks to the internal spiral, allow the workpieces that will be subsequently selected to come out all in the same position.

They can be clockwise or anti-clockwise, depending on the configuration of the machine; the width of the loop or "helix" varies depending on the size of the piece fed, as does the pace.

SHAPES AND MATERIALS

Containers are divided into three categories: conical, cylindrical and stepped. The choice of the type of container is made in consultation with the customer according to the type of piece fed and the space available for the construction of the vibrating feeder. OCV FEEDERS manufactures containers in iron, AISI 304 stainless steel or cast aluminium; the last being mainly used for feeding small screws or rivets.

All containers can be coated inside to comply with noise limits or to avoid damaging the parts vibrating inside.

In addition, especially in cast aluminium containers, a spray coating is applied to prevent the container from wearing out. A special coating can also be applied to prevent friction due to static electricity from plastic parts.
